Meet Mrs. Vasquez
Hello! My name is Jasmine Vasquez and I can't wait to learn and grow together in third-grade! This will be my 11th year teaching, and my second year at Harvey. I graduated from the University of South Florida in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I also have my Reading and ESOL endorsements. I have taught ESOL, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade here in Manatee County. I love teaching the upper- elementary grades because of the in-depth content we cover. Third-grade is such a big year and it is amazing to see the academic growth that students gain from the beginning of the school year to the end!
I am passionate about teaching and I love building strong relationships with students. I believe that learning should be interesting and exciting and I strive to create a safe, fun and meaningful learning environment. My ultimate goal is to help each student that I teach reach their full potential.

I was born in Long Island, New York, but have spent most of my life here in Florida. I live with my husband Jay, and our two children Jaxon and Jade. (Yes, we are a family of "Js"!) Jaxon is 6 and will be starting First Grade here in August! Jade will be 5 in September and will start VPK! We also have a chocolate lab puppy named Ziggy. As a family, we love going to the beach, TB Rays games, theme parks, traveling and exploring state parks and preserves. My personal favorite is Emerson Point Park! I also enjoy reading, trying out new recipes, and gardening.

I can't wait to get to know all about YOU!
